Monster Energy Partners with Assassin's Creed® Origins for on-pack promotion

Monster Energy is teaming up with Ubisoft’s blockbuster Assassin’s Creed® Origins for the first time, to launch an on-pack promotion offering fans exclusive in-game content and special prizes.

The promotion will run from 1st October 2017 until the end of March 2018, with Monster Energy drinks cans customised with Assassin’s Creed® Origins iconic characters including Bayek.

Single cans will carry one of three unique designs, and will offer fans a pack of in-game resources to facilitate a player’s progression, and a chance to win prizes such as gaming consoles, Assassin’s Creed® Origins video games, Monster Energy gaming fridges and exclusive Monster Energy apparel. Multipack cans will also unlock unique gaming accessories to help gamer progression.

Each can will have a unique code under the ring pull, which can be redeemed at www.assassinscreed.com/monsterenergy allowing gamers to unlock in-game content and enter the prize draw for additional available prizes.

Celebrating 10 years of the Assassin’s Creed® franchise, Origins is set to be the most ambitious game to date when it hits shelves on the 27th October. Retailers will be supported with in-store Monster Energy material including customised, game relevant ‘sphinx’, ‘tomb’ and arch displays in addition to a full suite of POS to help increase visibility.

Simon Harrison, customer marketing director GB at Coca-Cola European Partners, said: “Monster Energy and gaming fans alike are sure to be excited by this promotion which gives them exclusive content and prizes that money can’t buy. Given the growth in the energy sector, we’re ensuring retailers get all the tools needed to make this a real sales driver through eye-catching displays that will encourage trial, and the draw of prizes that will help deliver repeat purchase. There’s already a lot of hype around the launch of Assassin’s Creed® Origins, so we’re confident that the partnership with the franchise will help to further boost Monster Energy sales.”
