Monster Energy Ambassador Lewis Hamilton takes a lap of local Coca-Cola factory

Three-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has surprised local employees at the Coca-Cola European Partners factory in Milton Keynes, where Monster Energy products are made.

This comes after the global energy drinks brand joined forces with Lewis earlier this year to create ‘44’ – the Formula One star’s own signature drink. This recent innovation from the brand was named after Lewis’ racing number which the three times World Champion was involved in from inception, through to its design process.

As part of his visit, Lewis was given a tour of the factory, where he was able to hear about the manufacturing processes behind Monster Energy products, as well as meeting some of the team who produce his signature drink. Lewis then held a meet and greet session with employees.

Steve Thorpe, Operations Director at Coca-Cola European Partners Milton Keynes, said: “It was fantastic to welcome such an iconic sporting hero like Lewis Hamilton to the factory and show him first-hand some of the processes behind his signature Monster Energy drink. I was extremely proud to showcase some of the innovative and high-quality manufacturing taking place right here in Milton Keynes and it was a great way for the business to bring brand activations like this to life for our colleagues. Our teams were thrilled to meet such a well-known star and it created a real buzz on site for the rest of the day.”
