Reducing our impact on the environment

    • We were the first site to install solar panels to harvest energy from natural sunlight.
    • We have reduced our energy consumption by 27% since 2008, and we currently have the lowest energy-use ratio in Great Britain, using on average only 53.3 kWhs to produce 1,000 litres of product.
    • We were the first site to develop and install dry running conveyors in 2004, in order to save water.
    • We have sent no waste to landfill since 2008.
    • We embrace and involve all of our employees in a variety of environmental projects to reduce our energy and water use.
    • We operate optimised water treatment processes to increase the time between equipment regenerations and washes, which means that our water usage is reduced.
