Monday, September 19, 2011
Throughout October, Coca-Cola, Proud Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is giving away fantastic VIP experiences to some of the most sought after London 2012 Olympic Games events, including money can't buy tickets to the spectacular Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
The exciting on-pack promotion will be available across all My Coke packs (Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Zero) and will give people across Great Britain the chance to experience the magic of the London 2012 Olympic Games first hand. The daily giveaways of VIP London 2012 tickets include accommodation in a five star London hotel, full hospitality, and a travel contribution for a group of four.
As well as the daily giveaways, every consumer that enters will also be automatically entered into a weekly prize draw to win the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Opening or Closing Ceremony.
To be in with a chance of winning these incredible prizes, consumers simply need to enter the unique code found on special Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero packs at www.cokezone.co.uk .
The ticket promotion follows a summer-long nomination campaign, during which Coca-Cola, a Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, visited towns and cities across the UK, in search of inspirational young people - Future Flames - to carry the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay next summer. With the help of artists including Dizzee Rascal, Eliza Doolittle, The Wanted and You Me At Six, Coca-Cola will now spend the next three months choosing the inspirational young people who will carry the Olympic Flame.
Craig Smith, VP Marketing & Strategic Planning at Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd, comments:
"CCE is working closely with our customers across GB to ensure this on-pack promotion will be fully activated in-store. Not only is it a great opportunity for shoppers to win tickets to the games themselves - tickets to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are particularly sought after and a genuine once in a lifetime opportunity. With the ceremonies at London 2012 tracing their origins as far back as Ancient Greece, we know an estimated one billion people will be tuning in to watch the events, and our lucky winners can be there in person.
"The campaign is supported with a multi million marketing campaign, and we're confident this promotion will boost sales. Retailers should utilise the opportunity by stocking special packs this October, and take advantage of our full range of dedicated POS materials for maximum awareness in-store."
