Fanta, Sprite And Dr Pepper Offer More Free Credit
Monday, June 14, 2010
This summer, Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is set to drive consumer engagement and boost incremental purchase of its flavoured sparkling drinks portfolio with its latest on-pack promotion offering shoppers another chance to receive 50p worth of mobile credit on any major network with every purchase of a Fanta, Sprite or Dr Pepper promotional pack.
Launching in June and running until 30th September on Fanta, Sprite and Dr Pepper 330ml and 500ml packs, the promotion offers up for grabs a total £23.5m of mobile phone credit. To enter consumers simply text the unique code on-pack or enter online and 50p worth of credit will be added to their pay as you go or contract account within 48 hours.
Summer is a peak time for mobile usage and consumption of flavoured sparkling drinks . Research shows that mobile phones are a key factor in teen consumer's lives, with +90% owning a mobile and 56% claiming they 'can't live without' it . With teens having limited spending power and 75% saying they run out of credit regularly the promotion strongly appeals to this audience.
The campaign will be supported by a six figure investment including TV, outdoor advertising, mobile media, PR and high impact POS in-store.
Selena Taylor, Trade Communications Manager at CCE, says: "We're delighted to be running our 50p Mobile Credit on-pack promotion this summer. The offer has proven to be highly appealing to teen consumers and this year we have around 47m Fanta, Sprite and Dr Pepper 500ml and 330ml packs up for grabs which are key formats for this audience.
"Around 75% of teen soft drink purchase decisions are made at the chiller so the strong packaging and instant win element of this promotion are key drivers to encourage purchase. Sales of Fanta, Sprite and Dr Pepper are set to increase significantly during the promotional period so retailers should take advantage and stock up."
