Coca-Cola to Extend Fanta Offering in the UK

'Fanta' Still provides consumers with the same great 'Fanta' taste in a still variant, in two, new and unique flavours - Orange Citrus and Orange Tropical.  'Fanta' Still contains real fruit juice, no artificial colours and no artificial flavours, with the Orange Tropical flavour also available in a Zero Added Sugar range.

'Fanta' Still is targeted at teen consumers in an easy-to-drink 375ml bottle.  In the 1.5litre bottle, 'Fanta' Still will also meet the needs of Mother's looking for a great-tasting still soft drink option.

Martin Sampson, Breakthrough Development Controller at Coca-Cola Enterprises, comments:
"Our research showed an opportunity to provide an alternate still soft drink option to teen consumers - current offerings are not particularly suited to their taste.  'Fanta' is one of the most well-known brands in the country amongst our target market, with a 97% recognition rate . 'Fanta' Still uses our well-established and trusted 'Fanta' brand to assist retailers to capitalise on the profitability of the juice and juice drinks category, which represents 30% of the UK soft drinks category .

"Consumer trials  of 'Fanta' Still has shown a purchase intent of above 60% for Orange Citrus and Orange Tropical Flavours, and as the product is backed by a £3.75million marketing spend, we're confident of adding further value to retailers in the juice and juice drinks category."

The £3.75million marketing spend includes television and press advertising as well as digital activity and a sampling campaign.

'Fanta' Still will be available in convenient 375ml PET bottles, as well as 6 X 375ml packs and 1.5litre bottles.  On-pack graphics will retain the same fun 'Fanta' branding consumers recognise.

The 'Fanta' brand is currently worth more than £125million to UK retailers , and outsells other branded flavoured sparkling beverages by four to one .
