In January 1893 "Coca‑Cola" was registered at the United States Patent Office.
In 1894 the first syrup plant outside of Atlanta was opened in Dallas.
In 1899, large-scale bottling was ushered in by two Chattanooga, Tennessee entrepreneurs who, for a dollar, bought the rights to bottle and sell Coca‑Cola across the United States. That operation was the forerunner of the largest, most widespread production and distribution network in the world.
The first two countries outside the United States to bottle Coca‑Cola were Cuba and Panama in 1906.
In 1915 the Coca‑Cola contour glass bottle was created.
By 1917, three million Cokes were being sold per day.
In 1919 The Coca‑Cola Company was sold to a group of investors for $25 million.
Robert W. Woodruff became president of The Coca‑Cola Company in 1923. His more than six decades of leadership took the business to unrivalled heights of commercial success, making Coca‑Cola an institution the world over.
By 1925, six million Cokes were being sold per day.
By 1940 Coke was being bottled in over 40 countries.
